Subject: Re: [OMJP] UPDATED Info for Anti-Nazi protest Date: Sun, 22 Jan 2006 10:13:45 -0800 (PST) I spoke with my grandmother last night and told her about the Nazi's planning to visit Olympia. She became enraged at the thought of Nazi's (or Nazi wannabies) visiting Olympia. My grandmother grew up in Dachau, Germany during the rise/fall of the Nazi's. She saw the death and destruction these hateful people were capable of. She smelled the smell of death in the air. She saw the skies of Dachau "snowing" flakes of skin. She saw trains pass by with thousands of dead bodies on them. She saw innocent people taken out of their homes and never come back. Some of them were her Jewish childhood friends that she never saw again. I don't care if the Nazi movement in America is small in numbers. If we ignore them and forget about them, they will grow. I will do everything in my power to protect my children from witnessing what my grandmother had to endure in Dachau during the reign of Hitler and the Nazi Regime. I will be there today to let the Nazi wannabies know that they are not welcome in my city, my state and my country. When I called my grandmother last night, she said she was feeling ill. She also said that she may show up at Sylvester Park to let the Nazi's know that she is not afraid of them and will not tolerate their hate in Olympia. She said that groups like these cannot be ignored. If you ignore them, they will grow in size and before you know it, they will become stronger and tougher to deal with. This is not a time to sit on our butts and do nothing. This is a time to take a stand and let these hatemongers know that their hate-filled message will not be tolerated in our community. My sick grandma and I will be down there taking a stand against these buffoons. I hope the rest of you will be there as well.
