Tacoma prosecutors may charge activists The olympian March 08, 2007 http://www.theolympian.com/101/story/69325.html TACOMA - The case against three anti-war activists arrested Monday at the Port of Tacoma has been referred to city of Tacoma prosecutors for possible charging, a Pierce County deputy prosecutor said Wednesday. The three people did not deliver any direct blows to police officers, which prompted prosecutors to decline to charge them with felony-level assault, said deputy prosecutor Phil Sorenson. A fourth person, a woman who was arrested late Monday in the protest, is scheduled to be arraigned today in Tacoma Municipal Court, said Jean Hayes, supervising assistant city attorney. Hayes said the city had not yet received information on the other three arrests. Anti-war activists were back at the Port of Tacoma on Wednesday night. They are protesting the movement of Stryker brigade vehicles out of the port to Iraq.
