Action & Arrests @ Port of Tacoma March 11, 2007

This afternoon, more than 100 peace activists demonstated their opposition to the occupation of/war on Iraq at the Port of Tacoma. Twenty-three were arrested after crossing a barricade to deliver a Citizen's Injunction to police. Olympia City Councilman TJ Johnson was among those arrested. Eight additional activists were arrested after refusing to comply with police orders to give up their backpacks or purses before entering the area designated by police as the protest area.
