South Sound briefs *Stryker protest continues with no new arrests* The Olympian 26 May 2006 http://159.54.227.3/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060526/NEWS01/60526012& SearchID=73245839762243 Protesters Thursday continued their stand against the shipment of military vehicles from the Port of Olympia to Iraq. After three previous days of confrontation with police, no one was arrested Thursday as 30 activists gathered in the rain near the port entrance at Franklin and Market streets, Olympia police said. Others scattered out along Marine Drive, the route used by convoys of Army Stryker vehicles from Fort Lewis. Activists with the Olympia Movement for Justice and Peace and the newly formed Port Militarization Resistance promised demonstrations as long as shipments continue. They bemoaned use of the public port to support what they see as an illegal war. Sixteen people were arrested this week for standing in the street to block traffic and disobeying police commands.
