Once there, marchers paused briefly for a moment of silence. Then, Olympians created what The Olympian described as a "shrine," respectfully covering the office's outside walls, windows, and ledges with peace and antiwar posters and messages. On October 10, 2002, Brian Baird became one of 133 Congresspersons to vote NO on joint resolution H.J.Res. 114, "A Bill to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq."
